About Shelbyville Comprehensive Treatment Center
Located in Shelbyville, Kentucky, Shelbyville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment for adults age 18 and older. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) addresses opioid addiction by combining the use of prescription medications with counseling services. Many methadone clinics are only equipped to prescribe one type of medication as part of their services, but at our treatment center, we can prescribe naltrexone, Suboxone, buprenorphine, and methadone. This allows us to better meet the needs of our patients. At the time of admission, patients take part in a comprehensive assessment, and the results of that assessment help determine which medication they should take. Patients at our CTC also participate in group and individual therapy sessions, which allow them to explore the psychological aspects of addiction while also learning the coping skills they need to sustain their sobriety once treatment comes to an end.
