About River’s Shore Comprehensive Treatment Center

Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, River’s Shore Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. MAT includes the use of medication, individual therapy, and group therapy to help patients as they begin their recovery journey. By using FDA-approved medications like methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, patients don’t have to experience the uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal, which can ultimately prevent them from using opioids again. As patients then engage in individual and group counseling sessions, which are not typically available at other types of methadone clinics, they are able to explore the behavioral and psychological components of addiction and develop the coping skills needed to reach their treatment goals.
