when i came into the rooms i learned how open-mindedness was a character asset which would help me use humility throughout my recovery. this was in stark contrast to the days of doin my dirt, even though i only thought i was open to concepts and ideas; if i hadnt learned em or better yet created em, they didnt mean much. recovery showed the true definitions of open-mindedness. it showed me how open-mindedness related to the way in which i could approach the views and knowledge of others. it required a humble shift in how i looked at the world and myself within it. i learned the ability to consider new ideas and perspectives without prejudice, played a critical role in the transformative process recovery lends fer my betterment. openin my mind to a concept of a higher power paved the way fer growth, healin, and ultimately, a successful personal program of recovery. 1 day @ a time...
