About Longleaf Hospital
Longleaf Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, offers inpatient treatment for adolescents and adults who are suffering from mental health concerns and substance use disorders. Our adolescent inpatient treatment program provides care for youths ages 11-17 by tailoring each patient’s treatment plan to their specific developmental stage. To accomplish this, our staff initiates programming in a separate unit, which gives adolescents the comfort and security of being around peers in their age group. Young people who seek care at our treatment center may receive group therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, and recreational therapy to further express themselves and release pent-up energy as they confront challenges. For adults age 18 and older, we offer a variety of therapeutic interventions to help them succeed in meeting their treatment goals. Adults can participate in several forms of group therapy, including family therapy provided on an as-needed basis, activity groups, educational groups, and goal-setting groups. Longleaf Hospital also offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) to provide men and women with a sense of independence and structured support. Whether a person is struggling with intermittent explosive disorder, OCD, heroin addiction, or another concern, our team is committed to providing a personalized treatment experience for each child, adolescent, or adult who chooses treatment at Longleaf Hospital.
