it is through prayer and meditation that i get to improve my conscious contact with my HP, continuin to build the relationship that i began buildin with step 2s spiritual principle of hope. it is with prayer that i get to ask for the knowledge of His will and the power to carry it forward in my life just for today. it is with meditation that i open my mind, body, and soul, in quiet peaceful assuagement, so i may feel and hear His intuitive voice within. for it is with experience i have gained the wisdom that nothin can happen for me that God does not will for me. if i rely totally upon the agonist of my own self-will, restin upon my own instinct without Him, i set myself up for failure. as i use what i have gained with step 3s faith, step 6s willingness, and step 7s humility, i get to feel step 11s spiritual awareness. followin through with the action of change, as my behavior evolves, by His grace, i get to keep on the right way, allowin me to continue livin the good life, helpin me to change my thinkin. as i live and practice faith, trustin His answers to my prayers, i get to show the gratitude for what ive received through meditation. spiritual awareness provides me with the opportunity to overcome the disease of my alcoholism/addictions pit of self-pity and loneliness. i get to share with others the tenderness of an intimate relationship with my HP and the calm i feel when i touch my HPs spirit. the action of the behavior changes i get to give shows others the balance, forgiveness, and love that spiritual awareness provides for me. i get to be a friend invitin others into my life. when i remain active in my personal program of recovery, i am less likely to suffer the consequences of my alcoholism. i get to further prove to myself that the only true change i can do, is change me. spiritual awareness is a gift that is proceeded by the 10 spiritual principles that lead me to it. those little, “ah-ha”, moments are what make me realize recovery and spiritual enlightenment are somethin worth continuin to live for. 1 day @ a time...
