About Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center
Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Appleton, Wisconsin, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults who are struggling with addictions to opioids. To help individuals end their opioid use, MAT combines the use of prescription medication with individual and group counseling services. Depending on their specific circumstances, patients may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, or naltrexone. These medications can play a vital role in reducing the symptoms of withdrawal, which may prevent individuals from using opioids again. Unlike other types of methadone clinics, our treatment center offers group and individual counseling to complement the use of medication. Group counseling gives patients the opportunity to meet with others who have faced similar struggles, while individual counseling gives patients the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a professional about their concerns and experiences. Counseling can promote a sense of encouragement and community as patients work toward recovery.
