About Cumberland Comprehensive Treatment Center

Located in La Vale, Maryland, Cumberland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a premier provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. MAT combines the use of prescription medication with counseling services to offer patients an integrated approach to opioid addiction treatment. Depending on their unique circumstances, patients at Cumberland CTC may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone. These medications can alleviate the distressing symptoms of withdrawal and help prevent individuals from using opioids again. Unlike at some types of methadone clinics, MAT at our treatment center includes group and individual counseling services. Group counseling provides patients with an opportunity to connect with others who are working toward recovery from opioid addiction, while individual counseling gives patients a chance to speak one-on-one with a professional. These services can help patients process their experiences with opioid addiction and learn how to make lasting behavioral changes.
