About Fitchburg Comprehensive Treatment Center
Fitchburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, is a provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. MAT combines the use of prescription medication with individual and group counseling services. Unlike other types of methadone clinics, we offer two FDA-approved medications, Suboxone and methadone. These medications help reduce the uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal that often lead people to use opioids again. In individual counseling sessions, patients can speak with a professional to discover the reasons behind their opioid use and discuss ways to make positive behavioral changes. Group sessions give patients a space to meet with others who are also working toward recovery. Medication-assisted treatment is designed to help individuals regain control of their lives. When provided by experienced professionals, MAT has proved to be effective in the treatment of opioid addiction.
