About Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center

Located in Layton, Utah, Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults who are struggling with opioid addictions. MAT combines the use of prescription medication with counseling services to help individuals stop using opioids. Historically, methadone clinics only offered one medication. Layton CTC offers buprenorphine, methadone, and Suboxone, all of which are used in the treatment of opioid use disorder. We feature individual and group counseling to complement the use of these medications. The counseling services at our treatment center can help patients determine the reasons behind their struggles with opioid use, process their experiences with addiction, and discuss ways to make positive behavioral changes.

What to Expect at Layton CTC Methadone Clinic
We understand that there is no “one size fits all” approach to addressing opioid addiction, and that no two people are the same. Therefore, we take care to fully understand your needs before determining a treatment plan.

When you begin receiving services at our center in Layton, Utah, we conduct an initial assessment in which we learn about your prior opioid use and medical history. We also perform a physical examination and possibly a drug screening. This helps us determine which medication and dosage is right for you. At our treatment center, we use methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone.

Although methadone clinics have the reputation of only offering medications, counseling is also an integral part of MAT services. We offer both group and individual therapy, facilitated by qualified counselors. Through therapy, you can learn behavioral techniques that can help you avoid opioid use and alleviate stress.

Counseling can also help you address concerns that have arisen as a result of opioid addiction, such as strained relationships with the people in your life and declines in job performance. An added benefit of group therapy is that you can connect with others who are also receiving treatment for opioid addiction. This helps you feel like you are not alone in your struggle and that you can achieve recovery in the same way others have.
