About Pinehurst Comprehensive Treatment Center
As a leading outpatient opioid addiction treatment program, Pinehurst Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are battling addictions to opioids. MAT is a treatment option for opioid addiction that is highly recommended by agencies like the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) because it combines the use of prescription medication with therapy. Unlike methadone clinics that can only offer prescriptions for one medication, we can prescribe buprenorphine, Suboxone, naltrexone, and methadone. These medications alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal, which can help patients refrain from using opioids again. At our treatment center in Pinehurst, North Carolina, we also offer individual and group therapy to complement the use of medications. Both types of counseling sessions give patients a chance to process their experiences and learn various coping skills that can help prevent relapse. The relationships built during these sessions can also give patients the support and encouragement they need to be successful in their recovery.
