About Providence Comprehensive Treatment Center
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, Providence Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals age 18 and older. MAT is an evidence-based form of treatment that combines counseling with the use of medication in the treatment of opioid addiction. Many methadone clinics are only equipped to prescribe one type of medication as part of their programming, but at Providence CTC, we have the ability to prescribe multiple types, including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone. The particular medication a person receives is determined based on the results of an assessment they take prior to beginning treatment. All these medications reduce the symptoms of withdrawal, allowing individuals to fully focus on their recovery. In addition to receiving medication, patients at our CTC can participate in individual therapy sessions where they meet one-on-one with a qualified counselor. We also offer group therapy, which gives patients an opportunity to meet with others who are facing similar struggles. This can help provide much-needed support and encouragement throughout the treatment process.
