About South Nashville Comprehensive Treatment Center
Located in Nashville, Tennessee, South Nashville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is the area’s leading provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. MAT is a research-backed form of opioid addiction treatment that combines counseling with the use of prescription medication. The medications used in MAT are FDA-approved and have shown to alleviate the distressing symptoms of withdrawal that can occur when someone stops using opioids. Taking these medications increases the likelihood that a person will not return to their opioid use and can instead focus on their recovery. Some methadone clinics can only prescribe one type of medication, but at South Nashville CTC, we are able to offer prescriptions for methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone, depending on a person’s needs. Patients also participate in individual and group therapy, which gives them the opportunity to process their experiences, develop coping skills, and identify potential triggers. The relationships they develop during group sessions can also help them gain the support they need as they progress through treatment.
