Much like In The Rooms founding duo Ken Pomerance and Ron Tannebaum, friends James Darlington and Shane Goodhew initially connected on their desire to help people in the recovery community. Shane and James met during rehab when they were going through addiction treatment. Then, a few years down the line, they decided to open their own treatment facility together: Clarity Treatment Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
In this episode of ITR-TV, the four entrepreneurs chat about Clarity, including it’s origin story and the client-centric mission the facility carries on today. Shane explains the inspiration behind the facility name, Clarity:
The name itself is something that James and I are both very passionate about. For me, in active addiction, it was very fuzzy, very hazy, and I was very confused—every day was just about using. And then to get clean, and to learn recovery, gave me a lot of clarity.
Additionally, Shane and James discuss how Clarity is pivoting to meet client needs during the time of COVID-19. To adapt to the restraints of the pandemic, they created an online recovery program entitled Clarity at Home. This holistic online program is 22 hours per week (though customizable to individual time schedules). It includes therapeutic approaches such as TRE (Tension, Stress and Trauma Release), one-to-one counseling, fitness sessions, and much more. Learn more about this new program, and everything Clarity has to offer, in this episode of ITR-TV!
