Each month, In the Rooms and Seeking Integrity Treatment Centers present an online Super Saturday Recovery Summit. These events have proven to be an overwhelming success. Three experts on recovery discussing and answering questions on topics related to both early and longer-term sobriety and healing. March Super Saturday Recovvery Summit Presenters include Enod Gray, Carlo DiClemente, and Hilarie Cash and is set for Saturday March 20th.

Neglect: The Silent Abuser
Enod Gray was born, raised, and currently lives in Houston, Texas. She has been a clinical psychotherapist and counselor for more than 25 years. She treats individuals, couples, and groups for a variety of conditions, including addiction, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Throughout her career, she noticed that an issue seldom discussed is that of childhood neglect and its impact. SSo she made this a special area of focus. Her Super Saturday presentation is based on her book, Neglect: The Silent Abuser. If you or someone you know suffered childhood neglect, this discussion is certain to resonate.

Recovering is a Journey Through Change
Carlo DiClemente, PhD is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Director of the MDQuit tobacco resource center. He is codeveloper of the transtheoretical model of behavior change and author of numerous books. These include Addiction and Change and Substance Abuse Treatment and the Stages of Change. In his Super Saturday presentation, Dr. DiClemente will discuss recovering from addiction as a journey through the change process. He will focus on how understanding the pathway and the stages can help us navigate the journey more effectively. Understanding the key challenges to making changes last will also be a focus.

Can Gaming and the Internet Be Addictive?
In 2009, Dr. Hilarie Cash co-founded reSTART Life, where she is Chief Clinical Officer. reSTART is a residential program for adults and adolescents who are addicted to the Internet and video games. In her Super Saturday presentation she notes that with COVID most of us are engaged with digital devices more than ever. For those who are already in recovery with another addiction, it can be easy to slip into a technology addiction. Dr. Cash will give an overview of how screen addictions can be identified, how they develop, who is vulnerable, and what healthy use looks like. She will also share resources so people who need help can find it.
