i think fer me the sense of belongin did happen as i was able to relay to my sponsor, and later to others, how i felt within. it wasnt there on day one, though i may have felt some ease, acceptin me took time. as acceptance slowly came, the sense of belongin did in turn. i think time has an amazin ability of calmin my edgy nerves. with that time i was able to build trust in my sponsor. that trust evolved and grew so that i could finally share true experiences with him. we didnt have anythin in common other than the fact that he was an alcoholic and i was too. that common bond opened doors fer me that today remain open. today, i have made the proper adjustments in my life to be able to share with others who i am. takin the time to listen as others express their hopes and disclose to me their fears, together we get to experience that sense of belongin. 1 day @ a time...
