my daily reflections…

as a result of workin with sponsees, ive learned how to interact and communicate with others in, and out, of the rooms. ive gained an ability to listen to understand instead of listen to respond. from this learned activity i get to focus on what the other person is sayin or feelin, rather than voicin my own thoughts. it is an area in my psychological growth where i get to mature in my own emotional intelligence. active listenin, means im payin attention to anothers words, tone, intent, and voiced emotions as they share their experience or circumstance. from this i get to experience how my life has been made richer. it is when im able to let loose of my selfishness and give another the respect they deserve. these are characters i could not possess while in the days of doin my dirt. i get to humbly think of others, givin forgiveness, respect, and love. even if they may not even realize it. i aint gotta be the only person in the room today, as much as my alcoholism demands me to be. 1 day @ a time...
