in the days of doin my dirt i was always lookin for a free means which didnt require any work on my behalf to get. bein blocked by ego and false pride, i wouldnt, nor couldnt, think this was the case, before i had done my 4th step moral inventory. and comin into recovery i thought the same. i mean, they said it was freely given, right? i learned as i moved forward in my recovery it was true it did not cost me anythin financially, only a monetary donation, if i was able. what i didnt know then was the amount of personal work required to heal my behavioral, emotional, psychological, and spiritual prosperity. in these areas, ive had to work hard to receive the benefits and promises which are available through the process of the 12 spiritual principles of recovery. but this does not mean i do not donate, not only my time and effort, but i personally donate financially. it was explained to me the reasons for such generosity. i was asked how much did i spend while doin my dirt to get what i wanted? why not put that self-servin obligation toward a selfless show of gratitude and anonymous gift of kindness. today i get to receive the blessins from these actions rather than take from em. 1 day @ a time...
