words can have an immediate and deep emotional and psychological effect on people. i am no stranger to this idea. ive got a tongue like a razor, a sweet switchblade knife, it can spin a yarn of truth or lies. what recovery has taught me is say what i do and do what i say. ive held firm to the idea action is so much more a tell of reality than any word spoken. this mornins daily speaks of showin others in my life how i was givin help to overcome my alcoholism. when i do this i get the opportunity to practice and live each of the spiritual principles of recovery. of the most importance to me is the show of integrity. when i lighten the burden of my dark past through spoken word what i have been through back in the days of doin my dirt, then sharin how honesty, hope, and faith have had positive effects on how i get to live today, i then get to show them the how and why of the transformation which has occurred over my time in recovery bringin about brotherly love. 1 day @ a time...
