the big book gives clear suggestions and instruction on how to help another alcoholic sufferin the grips of their potential alcoholism. it is my discretion whether or not to use whats been a clearcut solution. for me, when i help another, i do as my sponsor did with me, and as his sponsor did with him. he offered friendship and fellowship, and any help i needed if i wanted to get sober, stay that way, and remain in recovery. the big book clearly states how to manage workin with another. i was talkin with an old timer early in my recovery, norm ayers, who has since passed, and he told me when i work with another to be mindful of bein a banker, taxicab, or marriage counselor. and the big book says on pg. 95, “if he expects you to act only as a banker…or a nurse for his sprees, you may have to drop him…” these were stipulations my sponsor taught me. these are conditions i must take into consideration when i work with another. 1 day @ a time…
