from my own personal experience i know how alcoholism is a profoundly distressin condition. the big book describes it as cunnin, bafflin, and powerful. havin experienced alcoholism firsthand and now bein in recovery, i sometimes find it easy to judge those currently strugglin with the disease. however, reflectin on the final years, months, weeks, and days of my own struggle evokes a deep sense of empathy. i recall the feelins of bein lost in a seemingly hopeless existence. today, i have a responsibility as an alcoholic in recovery to own a commitment to helpin others find their path to recovery. i get to demonstrate the profound impact of shared experiences in fosterin compassion and support in the journey toward spiritual freedom, emphasizin the importance of recovery. i have a clearer understandin of alcoholism and feel a strong desire to assist those seekin spiritual liberation, just as others did for me when i came into the rooms broken. 1 day @ a time…
