tradition 3 has really highlighted for me how crucial inclusivity is. i remember the times when i was caught up in the days of doin my dirt and felt like i didnt fit in anywhere. those feelins lingered with me into my early recovery, and in those early days, fear held me back from bein my true self. i had grown accustomed to the isolation that came with my alcoholism, and i had no idea what sobriety would bring. to my surprise, the people who had been there before me welcomed me with open arms, encouragin me to be myself and share my story. it didnt matter what misconceptions had led to my loneliness; i felt accepted. since then, ive made it a point to welcome newcomers just as i was welcomed. today, i get to embrace the principle of equality for anyone who is in or out of the rooms. 1 day @ a time...
