my daily reflections…

my recovery hasnt come to me in multitudes of weeks, months, or years. though i may have been livin it, as best as i can, for several years, it has come to me 1 day @ a time. one of the best tokens i ever received wasnt one for multiple years, months, or weeks, it was one that only had 24hrs on it. i get to live all the time i have in recovery through daily spiritual maintenance. what i really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of my spiritual condition. every day is a day when i must carry the vision of my HPs will into every moment of my day as best as i humanly can. it is through each moment of each day i get to live, and it is with those moments, i get to use what recovery has taught me to use. without my HP, there is no real victory in any day. i have to practice what recovery has given me with others so that the spiritual awareness i gain through mornin prayer and meditation has the opportunity to grow the spirituality i need to live. what ive learned is that i need to emphasize forgiveness and acceptance throughout my day as much as possible. when i live each day with my HPs spirit, i have less a chance of my self-centeredness gettin in the way of His works through me. self-pity, sorrow, anger, or fear, dont have the chance to control my behaviors. livin thankfully for what i have been gifted in recovery means that i show my gratitude by continuin to grow in my recovery daily. the keystones of courtesy, kindness, justice, love, hope, encouragement, and patience, are given freely from me as i practice the three Cs of concern, compassion, and consideration. before my recovery began i lived in the past or lived too far out into the future, not enjoyin the days givins. today i get to live for the moment, just for this day. when i do this, the miracle of clearin up the wreckage of my past and creatin a better future for myself take care of themselves. 1 day @ a time...
