the first time i met my sponsor he told me that he was able to find recovery from what his sponsor told him. my sponsor told me that he would help me find recovery by tellin me his story. today, i get to do as my sponsors, sponsor did for my sponsor, share my experience, strength, and hope, with the people i sponsor. what i found out was that my sponsor was an alcoholic, just like me, who had been shown how to find a key to sobriety. the legacies of sufferin and recovery were shared with him, and he easily shared his sufferin and recovery with me. today, i understand how each of us, my sponsors sponsor, my sponsor, and me as a sponsor, get to pass on this gift weve found. i love that this mornins readin uses the word ‘animates’. it is because of my willingness to get busy in my recovery, through animation, through action, that i get to keep what i have been given. i reckon thats why the generational recovery has moved forward, by someone helpin another, who then helped me, so i could help another. what a chain of blessins. we have all persevered through our own recovery so we could keep what weve been given. in my personal battle to gain righteousness, i choose the good and resist the evil that is easily found anytime i think or go out of my home. one of the most important qualities of my life is liberty, also known as freedom. with it today, i get to live and enjoy the concept of sayin and doin what i want and when i want, as long as i am not knowingly hurtin somebody else. my spirituality is about proclaimin this liberty. i get to affirm a spiritual freedom that is inclusive to all whom i may help. today i aint gotta fear success in my recovery because i accept the responsibility of it, i feel worthy. with the sharin of my story, i feel happy and successful in whatever i choose to undertake because i know who and what i am. i mean, what have i been given today? am i willin to reach out and grasp it? am i willin to easily share it with another with complete candor? 1 day @ a time...
