My Program = Drinking and drugging, causing massive harm to others and myself. Not giving two shits about myself or anyone else.
AA Program = A new way of life as a result of living and working the steps and practicing principles in all our affairs, having had a Spiritual Awakening as a result of these steps, our whole attitude on life has changed, mental obsession has been lifted and WE tried to carry the message to other alcoholics.
Something to Nibble on:
I don't think I ever heard a person share when they say they relapsed, that they had a Spiritual Awakening as a result of these steps, their whole outlook on life had changed and the mental obsession was lifted and they tried to carry the message to other alcoholics, usually what WE hear shared is: I stopped going to meetings, stopped praying. For myself coming in and out of AA for over 25 years and staying dry for some periods, I tagged myself as one of the biggest relapse person on the planet. TRUTH is I never did no work to produce any of the gifts stated in our big book.

Recovery FIRST or their is no recovery. It starts on page 30 in the BB. "WE learned that WE had to fully concede to our innermost selves that WE were alcoholics. This is the first step in recovery. The delusion that we are like other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed". No such thing as attending to many BB or 12 & 12 meetings, the more the better. WE love to have fun and enjoy living in the moment & HELPING OTHERS.
